  • September

it is a day to have wings
    spun yellow
    grass fragrant
    blood heating
    morning

    it is red indian
    summer –
    all colored flowers vibrate
    and fall upwards into
    noon

    what miracles could happen
    what embraces of the heart

    on such a day
for every soul there is a moment steeped in
    beauty

Deep Thought: If I could go back and change one thing in my life, I think it would be that time I found that one-dollar bill on the sidewalk. I would change it to a million-dollar bill.
Today I am grateful for: Squirrels
Guess the Movie: “Yippie kay-yay, mother@#!%er.” Answer: Die Hard, 1988
End of Day – 8:54 pm
+ = Took a lunchtime class in how to make my Mac work better.
    - = Dick Cheney, yuck.

  • Thought provoking poem! If I could change one day in my life I think it would be the day I agreed to take a creative writing class with that man!  lol.

  • I’m intrigued.  Who IS “that man?”

  • red indian summer…touching…

  • I do like this. But Indian Summer? Not fair. It’s supposed to be real summer still. I’m tired of 50 degree summer nights and Lake Michigan stuck at 60.

  • The squirrels are rushing around here like crazy – I hope they don’t know something I don’t. Like we are in for a bad winter.
