  • Winter
    It rains, it rains.

The window is baroque with water.

Imagine all the little birds huddled in windowsills

fluffing their feathers and watching for the light to change.

Deep Thought: I bet a funny thing about driving a car off a cliff is, while you’re in midair, you still hit those brakes! Hey, better try the emergency brake!

  • A rain poem in return for mine?   Or was it put away til today?   But you have me wrong.   I don’t dislike the rain.     I actually enjoy it if I’m inside warm and dry.

We’ve lived in your part of the country though and I know your kind of rain.   Relentless.   I think I experienced sun deprivation.

Thanks for the comment.   I’ve saved your URL and will be back for more.   Nice journal

  • I love that poem!  Very nice imagery!

  • Very cool photo.

  • This poem reminds of William Carlos William’s poem “So much depends upon a red barrow glazed with rain water beside the white chickens” That’s the whole poem. LOL at the deep thought. I bet we do.

  • Oh what a great poem by WCW!

  • Love the poem! Deep Thought was good too. I always loved those on Saturday Night Live.
