The Gleaners and IMy latest movie find. A glorious film by French filmmaker Agnes Varda a couple of years ago. This is a documentary about trash. But what fantastic trash.
Varda has gone on a vision quest to examine all that we as a society throw away and the folks who survive on it and/or treasure it. Inspired by the famous painting of gleaners by Millet she shows us a world that is garbage as art and humanity. Here is a thrown away clock she took home and displayed on her mantel. That’s her behind it. Don’t know how she did that. She liked the idea of a clock with no hands.

That’s really neat!
One man’s trash, another man’s treasure. Definitely true. It’s amazing what you can find in apartment complex dumpsters… (although perhaps I shouldn’t admit that.)
Oh, I think I like the idea of a clock with no hands too….interesting.
That sounds very interesting indeed! Infinite Blessings
