SUNDAY GOOD NEWS
Deep Thought: “Just as bees will swarm about to protect their nest, so will I “swarm about” to protect my nest of chocolate eggs.”
Today I am grateful for: Books
Guess the Movie: “ I’m da boss, I’m da boss, I’m da boss, I’m da boss, I’m da boss… I’m da boss, I’m da boss, I’m da boss, I’m da boss, I’m da boss, I’m da boss.” Answer: Raging Bull, 1980.
Feingold to Fight Patriot Act Reauthorization
by John Nichols
Four years ago, when U.S. Senator Russ Feingold stood alone in the Senate to oppose the Bush administration’s Patriot Act, he was portrayed as a political fringe dweller whose determination to defend basic liberties was out of touch with the realities of the post-9/11 era.
This year, as Feingold leads the fight to block a flawed proposal to reauthorize the Patriot Act, he does so as the voice of a national movement that includes conservatives and liberals, Democrats, Republicans, Greens, Libertarians and independents, and residents of all 50 states and the District of Columbia. And he has enough Senate allies to speak seriously about launching a filibuster to block the measure. (Rest of article here.)

I hope Feingold turns the issue up a notch…
*deep breath*
Thank you!
Oh cute squirrel.
Ahh, I checked out the site, but I think the caffeine coursing through my veins makes it nigh on impossible to relax right now. I’ll have to go back later.
very cute pic…
I like squirrels.
Beautiful. It amazes me the wonderful things people make available on the internet. That obviously took a lot of time and effort. Wish you could share those chocolate eggs!
Ahh, but bees don’t swarm to protect their nest (hive). They swarm to produce another hive and they are very gentle during the swarm. They swarm becaue it’s built into their genes. I’ve never been afraid of or stung by a swarm but have been severly stung by pissed off bees at their hive following a thunderstorm. But that’s life. And as much as I’d like Feingold to prevail; I suspect he’ll fail, for we are a failing country.
Thanks for your comment!
Thanks for being my new friend and taking the time to get to know me. I don’t want to go out again would call in sick but they would really be mad and it would be a big lie as I feel fine. Just want to snuggle down when it gets this cold and stay in my little warm house but then someone has to pay for this little warm house. Thanks for the great movie, Judi
I just came across your poetry. I never noticed the link before. Was it always there? The photos are wonderful both in your new and older poetry sections. While I lingered over many of your older poems I especially admired both the form and content of your newer ones.
Thanks for the link! I’m going to go check it out!
No time to click the squirrel. Just waving, before leaving for work.
Good Morning! Thanks for coming to my site and commenting. I appreicate that. Crystal
Thanks for that beautiful “mini meditation”. I’m going to save the link and try to do it daily.
I hope your grandson is OK! Anything underlying that he’d get pneumonia so often?
Andrea want to send me all the information for the potluck and the directions. Is it this Thursday? Judi
Andrea, I know it is hard to get out of fear when someone you love is sick. But we are not the healers of sickness unless we are connected to the source and sending healing. What we send to our loved ones without being connected is our fear. Send and live only love. I love you, Judi
