Thanks for that article. So many People seem to think all Americans are rich, or atleast more well off than most , I say their are just as many poor people in Americ as in any 3rd world country. There are more benefits for them, food stamps, a few dollars to help with utilities, perhaps a medicaid card, a big perhaps, as my daughter needs one and can’t get it. We have a border line income.. so that leaves her out, so she suffers from asthma , with meds we cant afford and other maladies. I myself don’t own a car, shocking? Many people I know here dont own cars. Were I in New Orleans last Sunday and Monday if my kids wouldnt have got me out , I would have been one of the people waiting for rescue, which took too damned long! Now people are making it racial, perhaps it partially was, or is, I feel that the Governemnt on State and Federal levels were both ill prepared for such a major disaster.
Iraq to me does equal another Vietnam, and wasnt that worth fighting for? Losing soooo many young men ! Agent orange. Blah I am getting upset I should hush .
I couldnt think of that movie either, but I like the Good Bad Ugly series of spaghetti westerns.

Unfortunately that picture is not an isolated incident. As the waters recede and they pump more of it out there are bound to be horrors awaiting.
My heart is just breaking. I turn on the news and it breaks again and again. D. and I are wondering how many of the dead will be people we know?
so sad….and to think this part of it has only just begun.
