Appetizer – Did you sleep good last night?
Actually I slept a bit better than usual but I had a couple of dreams this morning that I can vaguely remember and that’s unusual. One was that I thought I had MS and kept thinking I should wake up and go check on the computer about the symptoms of it. I think this is because I’ve been feeling some stiffness and soreness in my hips and legs lately that is pissing me off. I sent off for a yoga tape yesterday to deal with it. Thought about trying out Bikram’s yoga where you exercise in a heated room so your muscles are their most relaxed but then I read someone’s experience with it that it practically made them sick the first time, plus it smelled like a sweaty gym. The other dream had to do with my grandchhildren’s stepfather, which is a whole can of worms. Since his advent into the family, it seems like they live in this mysterious world that he dominates like some foreign country. I suppose I could barge into that world, but I’m so not the barging type.

I planted some purple asters in my front yard night before last just as the sun was going down. Purple is my favorite color.

Condiments are evil, you know. They pretty much all have sugar in them. I guess the taste of mustard on a really good hotdog would have to be it. Hotdogs are evil, too. Sigh.

Coming Back to Crawford

I’m coming back to Crawford for my son. As long as the president, who sent him to die in a senseless war, is in Crawford, that is where I belong. I came here two and a half weeks ago for one reason, to try and see the president and get an answer to a very simple question: What is the noble cause that he says my son died for?
The answer to that question will not bring my son back. But it may stop more meaningless deaths. Because every death is now a meaningless one. And the vast majority of our country knows this. So why do more young men and women have to die? And why do more parents have to lose their children and live the rest of their lives with this unbearable grief? (Rest of article here.)

I slept horribly. No dreams , just kept waking off and on. You had some strange dreams but seems you analyzed them. I need to do some yoga. And eat more yogurt, I love yogurt. So does my Grandson he calls it ‘ ogrit’.
I love the color purple , all things beautiful , purple .
I have a Grandaughter with a physocotic father who has her a in his ‘ care’ as her Mom had to leave town to excapse his threats of killing her , my daughter,… the police? No help.
I have no idea what movies that is from .
Do you think Bush is going to speak to her, Ms. Sheehan?
I mean he is on vaction , again, whats stopping him from a short talk with her?

Cute pic of the kids….
RYC: Because I live on an acre and a half of horrid clay I am a container gardener. I arrange pots in different areas of the yard. We do water my son David’s pumpkin patch with a couple of hoses linked up and a sprinkler but I’d need a few more hoses to get to my farthest container at the back of my yard.
I’m not sure if the kids and I would rather drag a few hundred feet of hoses around the yard and then have to wind them all up or walk the watering cans around the yard. Maybe next summer we’ll see if it could be done differently.

Hello and thanks for your comments and input. You have a valid point, if all couples were alloted just a little time alone to be themselves, without infidleity involved of course, many people may still be married today. I felt cloistered in my last relationship. I was put down for being ‘me’.. no dancing silly if a certain song struck me, no laughing at things others may not find amusing, no time to set in front of my stereo and get lost in my music or to be a woman for a few minutes without thinking of others wants and need.s You make much sense. I like your way of thinking .Hope youhave a nice weekend.

Oh, I forgot. You comment on condiments being bad and full of sugar was cute. I’ve decided that all the things I like the best are full of fat and sugar. Once interesting thing I have recently figured out, since I started reading labels more closely is that all the lite things, where they take out half the fat and half the calories all seem to end up replacing them with sugar. One of my downfalls is mayo. I love mayo. I keep teasing my girlfriend, who is trying and succeeding in getting me to live healthier that I’m going to get a Costco 5 gallon bucket of mayo and a spoon and eat the whole thing. Anyway, I’ve started using light mayo with half the fat but upon reading the label I found out that it has an enormous amount of sugar/corn syrup in it. I’m diabetic so that won’t fly. Now I just have to make do by smelling the mayo and making a sandwich without it.
But I guess it is necessary in the name of better health… and to avoid being beaten by my girlfriend (just kidding of course). Have a great day and thanks again for stopping by.

Good sleep, always wake up once or twice-to go to the bathroom (at that age ;-}). No desktop image–need to work on that-I have a newborn photo of my 3rd grandson! Plantings? My daughter planted a few seeds in pots–some small purple(!) bachelor buttons, some white flowers that remind me of milkweed. She even planted some sunflower seeds, but don’t think they’ve come up-lol. Condiment? Umm, Will black olives work?! Many, many quotes I love-most of them by Buddhists, Thoreau, Whitman, Yeats. Yay for Cindy Sheehan!! This has turned into a war protest–something I’m familiar with. bush seems he’s too ‘good’ to talk to her.

1.It’s 4am on a Sunday, and I’m on the puter cause I woke up with a coughing fit. I haven’t been well for two weeks, and hope whatever malady I have disappears before the cataract surgery in two weeks. My coughing fits can go on until my throat and chest are in great pain. I see my doctor for a preop on the surgery next week, so I will be asking him about the cough as well. 2. I use webshots, which circulates as many images (theirs and my own photography) as I want it too. Right now there is an image of a castle in Slovenia. 3.Even though I worked in the nursery business for years, I have never had a garden, owing to the fact that I have lived in rentals most of my life. I guess it would have been a repotting of a house plant about 20 years ago, when I grew houseplants that I got from the nursery when they got too overgrown to sell. I stopped when I once went on vacation and my roommate didn’t care for them, causing a particularly beautiful Pothos among others to die, and killing my wish to maintain any more plants. 3.Since I began my “low cholesterol” diet two years ago, I don’t use “condiments” much. I wouldn’t eat a hot dog. I don’t even eat burgers anymore. I still use pepper but not salt. So I guess pepper. 4. My favorite quote is from one of Shakespeare’s plays, I think it’s either “The Tempest” or “Love’s Labour’s Lost” but I can’t remember now, and I’ve “used” it many times. “The fool may thinketh himself wise, but only the wise man knoweth himself to be a fool.” It sort of explains the third word in my signature.
