  • Has anyone else gotten the impression that the majority of xanga blogs are by women students in their 20′s in Texas – or some combination thereof? Not that this is good or bad…..

  • indeed, it is so. Or — maybe there is some cosmic reason why everyone wishes to appear 20-something female, living in Texas. Texas is a great place.  I have several twenty-something female friends who are wonderful. Once I WAS twenty something, living in Arkansas. does that count?

It seems that sometimes we, after a “certain age” feel awkward communicating with younger women — and/or they feel uncomfortable with us. Bah. Stuff and nonsense. I raise my glass to the concept of friends-of-all-ages! Life is richer that way.

  • right – I did say it’s neither bad or good – just an observation

what certain age do you refer to – LOL

  • Fortunately, that’s why we don’t have to read all of those other sites. Agree w/ mjh, too, but as zevon says, i don’t always share the need to discuss the absurd.

  • Had not noticed.  My SIR list contains some very nice young people, but most of mine are Persons with whom I feel more in common.

  •  Dear Andrea,                                                      I just realized that the words in my last comment were read without the context of the grin I was wearing when I wrote them. joking about the twenty something girl in Arkansas……sorry if misunderstood. as you said, it’s not bad or good, just interesting, and, I think, a bit smiley.    “certain age” keeps going up and up. think i like that.  thanks for your comment and your writings. enrich my day.
