Jesse Colin Young 1967 / Youngbloods
Love is but a song we sing
And fear’s the way we die
You can make the mountains ring
Or make the angels cry
Though the bird is on the wing
And you may not know why
Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another right now
Some may come and some may go
And we shall surely pass
When the one that left us here
Returns for us at last
We are but a moment’s sunlight
Fading in the grass
Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another right now

Deep Thought: Laugh, clown, laugh. This is what I tell myself whenever I dress up like Bozo.

I love that song!
the neat thing about music is that the act of reading the lyrics, the words, the poetry, generates the tune in your mind. The tune evokes memories. 1967!
How wonderful to have memories of music that aren’t dictated by the tyranny of music videos.
wow. started to thank you for brightening my day, ended by ranting about music videos. sorry……and thank you. great song.
