Well, I must say I almost bagged doing this Xanga thing yesterday. There was a comment from someone that was so full of hate and ugliness that I thought, how typical, every time you turn around in this life, there’s some really sick person standing there. I’m already practically a hermit in my private life, and this is one of the main reasons why.
So I immediately deleted the post and unfortunately didn’t notice the block the user link until too late. So I think I’ll compromise and just wait awhile to post again.

I noticed that post too. I mainly noticed how inaccurate they were and wrote them off as being as stupid as they claimed everyone else to be. Did you know that I think you can make your posts such that no one can comment if you want. But herein lies the dilemma — do you allow the potential for hurtful comments to keep you from doing something enjoyable?
Yes, I know. It’s that age-old toss-up between whether to stay completely safe and miss the good stuff or to jump in and risk the crap.
There are a few really sick people out there. Ivory Soap percent of people are pretty nice, however. I’m all for leaping in, unless it’s a canal in Bangkok!
Happy Trails!

Thanks, I need the kind word. I’m going to visit your site.
hey there…..I saw your post on nannaruth’s site and wanted to invite you by my site…..I fit the over 60 catagory!
Unfortunately, xanga, like everywhere else, has its share of hateful and hurtful people. I’ve only had a couple of them post comments to my site, but then, I don’t talk about politics much. When it does happen I delete the post and block the member from future comments. I don’t think you’ll find it a huge problem. I’m enjoying your blog… I hope you won’t let a few bad apples spoil things for you here at xanga.
